We need more words of wisdom and unity

We as humans are not perfect in life
We really should strive to accept
That which is good and bad
For we are exactly that
A sharing that makes us unique
Each one of us
With our own blending
Of good and bad

There are times I live not to my word
But inside I am true to my word
I do not mean to be a liar
But life sometimes disguises my good

Life in passing seems, no is, worthy of respect
When I was young I never gave much thought to myself
Not knowing who I was or what I wanted to be
But just wanting something
Just trying to fit in
Now the years have lived
And I with them
Such a difference
I now can paint a portrait of my life
To this I am glad
For it is filled with so many colors
I am proud
